This post and beam cabin, built by Countrygirl and family on Small-Cabin.com, is built on 80 acres of land in rural Manitoba, for retirement and relaxation.
The cabin uses solar panels plus generator for power, and mobile phone connections in conjunction with a phone booster provide internet speeds fast enough to stream Netflix. Other cool features include an outside shower, a screened-in porch, and a 6-person built-in bunk bed.
What's interesting here is how the cabin experiences "project creep". What started out as a single cabin on 80 acres grows into 160 acres with the purchase of an adjoining plot, and then 2 additional cabins get added: a 16x16 guest cabin, and a sod house fort built by their teenage boys.
