I've had the 30" one shown in the link below for about a decade now, and love it. Use it every year to buck up 6-footers into 18" stove wood. Just got done with that last week, cutting 5 cords for 2025-'26. Usually run it with a Ford 2N tractor (20 hp), and sometimes with our 26 hp Kubota diesel (B2650). Both run it well. Have heated our N PA house with wood for 46 winters now, and the buzzsaw saves the chainsaws and my back. Has been a Godsend. Note: I bought ours at a local implement dealer, not from the co. in the link:

A cursory look at the plans.seemingly shows nothing to prevent logs rolling, or guarding against amputation. However, my brother in law used one without injury.

You'd think they'd want to roll, yes, like round stock in a bandsaw, but it's never been an issue, not at all. Love this thing! But when you start to get tired you get careless, so you just put it back in the barn for the day.

The antique 30-incher we used to run had no guards at all, with a steel frame that sat directly on the ground, staked down. Driven with a long 6" wide flat belt conn'd to a Farmall H tractor. That one was a bit scarey. ;-) This 3-point version is a LOT handier and safer, and setup is quick: back it right up to the log pile and fire it up, no flat belt to tinker with to get it running true, etc.
