I think that's a Super Cub. So probably a 150 HP powerplant? Looks like there were a few engine options though.

Bush planes are often an assortment of more than 2 or 3 different airframes married together with some insane engine power
Never try to tell me it can't be done

What you don't know is what was the head wind was it nearly the minimum airspeed of the plane?
I've seen Lancaster's land in extraordinary conditions of head wind where they were nearly nearly vertical landing as a result of head wind speed.
Blackbush airfield was a military airfield at the end of the last war and it's on the top of a plateau, so winds up there could be interesting.
It was used in the fifties to test the comet passenger jet plane which did circuits and bumps over our house every 6 minutes, we were about 5 miles away from the runway.

Good catch on the head wind. Look at the popular trees in the background. Its not horsepower, its wind velocity.

There's still a fair bit of skill demonstrated by the pilot to accurately balance the forward thrust against the wind to land exactly between the red cones

The other day there was flock of some kind of large bird trying to fly into the wind they were burning their feathers off trying, but after nearly 5 minutes of watching them they had hardly even moved. I think I knew where they were headed, if so, they could have landed and walked in less time than they spent flapping their wings. That is if my dogs didn't spot them

This looks like some kind of competition. He dropped that plane right between the pylons. I wonder if there being no wind there is the exception?
