    Some nice ideas and limit switches seem to be effective. However, the indexing/dividing still needs work. It is quite difficult and seems to be a fundamental problem with all these DIY systems. To his credit, he did not try to cover it up or obfuscate the accuracy as done by some others.

    Yes, I am aware of this problem. the fact is that I did not accurately enough made the dividing disk. The machine itself works very accurately, now I am making a new disk and after installing it I will shoot another video where I will make perfect gears. this video presents the very idea of ​​an automatic machine

    This is one nice machine with a bucket full of ideas for a low end gear maker. Thanks for posting.

    As for indexing, at some point it will make a lot of sense to come up with a stepper or servo based solution. Plain DC motors are not good at stopping in the same place consistently. That does add some complexity but today it is almost a canned solution with Arduino's.
