I built a portable train table for my shows and wanted it to be light, I use steel studs and 4 inch foam board.
I can not up load files they say they are too large.
Hey DanL45,
Here's my trick to uploading large photo files. I first open the picture in the Paint application, (found in your Accessories menu) by right clicking on the picture you want to open, and then choosing the Paint icon from the Pop-Up menu list. When the file opens, I click on the Resize button on the Top Left Menu Bar. A window will open up showing a Resize Field that says- Horizontal: 100, Vertical
: 100. Click on the number 100 and choose the percentage you want to Resize the photo in (I usually try 50 Percent first! Then re-size if it is too Big or Small!) Change the number to 50 and then click the "OK" button.
The picture will then be resized to the specific percentage you have just chosen. Now use the Scroll Bars on the Right & Bottom of the Picture Window to view your picture file. If it still looks too large, just press the "Undo" button on the Top Left window pane edge, next to the little 3.5-inch Disk Icon button. Retry the Re-Size process with a different size and see if it looks Big or Small enough.
Then press the "Save-As" button in the File Menu in the upper left window pane. Choose a File name and Save it as a ".jpg", or
J-PEG.(This is a standard digital camera and smartphone picture file type. It was designed for internet use, as on these forums!)
Save the File to your Desktop, that way you can find it easily when you upload it to this Forum.
Now try uploading that file by following the Forum Video Instructions. Keep practicing until you get comfortable using this App.
It takes a while to get familiar with the Menus and Sub-Menus, but I like using Paint more than any other Graphics Application because it is so simple to manipulate and change files quickly.(Unlike Adobe Photoshop, or AutoCAD!)- Hope this helps!
