Maybe this where the term 'Slapstick' came from.
It's not just in the third world, a lot of concrete works in the first world is now done by 'cheap' unskilled third world labour, the 11 floor University building opposite me concrete work, along with most of the ground works, has been done by cheap mostly migrant labour. The University building I'm in, built 10 years ago, had to have it's main poured staircase supported for 6 months as when they started to remove the form-work it started to slump, that was down to the aggregate not being properly washed.
