the more I look, the more I am convinced the camera angle is been fudged a little. otherwise I can't figure out how the center of gravity on the buggy isn't peeling it away from the wall. But the falling sand in the "half way up" section implies the angle is more like 60-70 degrees, not 90.

It's cameras tilt...there's virtually no rooster tail/spinning tires/sand spray until the three second point when the buggy is three quarter length from the precipice and the guy holding the cigarette at frame number one is leaning back on a rock cut I guess?

Camera tilt. The laws of physics still apply. Please explain how a vehicle climbing a vertical face gets traction.

At the beginning on the LHS there are a few bushes or trees. If one were to rotate the video until those were growing vertically then one would get a better idea of the slope.
When the video is rotated in that manner it can be seen that the starting position is close to horizontal.
It is still an impressive climb.

HA, I think NOT. for your reading pleasure.

In summary... I submit. The far pile, perhaps undisturbed, shows a steeper angle of 32˚ which is in line with the chart shown. The angle of near pile, being used for fun recreational purposes, has fallen to 28˚. The "starting line" is sloped downward toward the pile, from the buggies throwing sand away as they accelerate. Physics and the spectators on the left, prove the ruse.
