    Ever notice how the modern machines never use any glue, they just stack blocks...and not the stack/slide method needed when there's gooey stuff between them.

    Did you ever noticed that the modern one is using glue to keep the brick together?
    In the boom of the Hadrian, the glue is applied to the bricks, so yes, they do use it.

    Seems rather thin for concrete, but i guess if it sticks. So someone has to come by later and seal up all the gaps?

    I guess our wall blocks don't have all that much mortar between them either...
