That seems to be a dumb way to open the door - destroy the frame and wall integrity and hope the structure stays stable - oh, you have to wrestle the door after you mangle it...

I wonder whether they rap on the wall first to see whether it’s load-bearing?!

Or even check to see if it is unlocked, I have witnessed law enforcement not bothering to check more than a few times
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Odd that there is no support around the door frame beyond drywall and some insulation. The tool may work as advertised, but whoever installed that door should probably find another line of work.

Did an image search and found it. I thought they were speaking French...

    https://www.koreus.com/video/bac-ouvrir-porte.html

On the page with this same video, there was this (translated to English)

Probably as part of a search, police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) forced open a door with a hydraulic jack. But instead of opening the door, the whole wall collapsed.

An intelligent person would have used the jack horizontally instead of vertically if the door was locked...

I've seen the shorter horizontal one in action in a couple of videos, and it works much better and is far less destructive. It bows the frame out where the lockset(s) is, and the door pops right open with minimal damage to the surrounding wall and structure.
