    Just WOW! Why are these easy fixes always seem to be too hard to think of, initially...I've been using half an awning tensioner between brake pedal and seat to check the stoplights when towing the van...a right pia, every couple of days for a maybe 6 week trip...and I've got a cabinet shop at home with dozens of clamps! Thanks for posting...cheers

    I'm making one of these tomorrow. I don't know how many times I've looked for exactly the right length of 2x4 to jam in there. This is a great idea.

    I have something cheaper. My nephew sits in the car and follows instructions, and I don't even have to feed him...

    (The bar clamp mod is a great non-relative-reliant solution. I just wanted to be the first one to make that joke. And I do feed the nephew. He's a good kid so we get him ice cream, so he's actually more expensive since I have the per-use expense instead of the one time expenditure.)

    I love the economics of this kind of thing.
