    I have to wonder who would hire a blind machinist. Not that the fellow should be denied a job, but business practice can be heartless.

    OTOH, there are blind woodworkers who use table saws...



    If gutsy folks like he can master the dangers of woodworking, blind machinists should certainly be able to deal with the machine shop environment. But again, given the safeguards OSHA would demand, would anyone hire him.

    Wow I have to say I found that very inspiring. My hats off the the men in these videos and all those out there making it happen despite there handicap.

    (late to the party here..)

    There is a fellow in Raleigh NC who has had an excellent and long career as a radio engineer and ham radio operator, including going up 2000ft towers to work on them.


    He is completely blind from birth. About being on towers: "I don't know what I'm supposed to be scared about"
