    bracket forming punch/die

I have a small run series of some brackets to make and they all need to be very close to identical.
I could have used a bender for these easy enough but decided to just press them in a single operation by making a simple punch & die for my shop press

Worth the investment, probably more consistant and quicker than a bender as well.

I felt that it would be on all counts.
I made 4 brackets all turned out like soldiers in formation. When I get ready for the production run I will mount the punch and the die to the shop press and since my press is pneumatic over hydraulic it doesn't wear my arm out having to pump the handle

It would be nice to see a video of this in action. Metal forming dies like this can be well worth the time and investment.

Sorry, if you need movies call Spielberg I very rarely do vids because they are too much hassle I also rarely watch tool vids done here unless I can do them at 2x speed and skip through most of the content.

    Very effective for multiple parts.
I whole heartedly agree with your comments about videos.
It’s rare to find any that are short and to the point, I already know how to cut ,grind, machine and weld, I do it every day I don’t need to relive it again at night after I’ve knocked off.
Flicking through photos is much better.
