    Supposed to create the illusion that the water is supporting the boulder and making it spin due to the high pressure current.
    but to supply enough water volume and pressure to support a boulder of such mass there would be so much water being sprayed that you'd hardly be able to see the boulder let alone be able to confine it to the small containment pool.
    Still cute to watch though.

    If bottom of that rock is spherical(and its "bed" have corresponding shape), then it can work similar way to so called rolling sphere fountain.

    yeah I hadn't considered they my had ground the shape of the bottom to match the fountain. I was thinking more along the lines of a boulder being floated in as rushing river.
