Body Cart for a pickup cab

A few years ago I was doing a frame off on a '49 Ford F1. I had the underside of the cab done and it was always in the way when working on the frame so I built a cart to make the cab mobile.
I built it out of some scrap pressure treated lumber I was "saving"...

The top is modular so I can replace it with another frame to support other projects when this one gets put back on the chassis. It rolled around nicely and the cab could go outside when I needed more room in the shop.

I used some of those 10 dollar Harbor Freight 10" casters. That's what I have into it, 40 bucks...

I modified the cart to move around another project. This is an Astro Van I am building. The cart was stretched and we added some additional casters. It carried the van body very easily and let us move it from the hoist room to the build side of the shop.

Pulling it around with the lawn tractor was a piece of cake...

That's my wife on the tractor and my friend Mel walking beside the van.

Once we had the van on the working side we pulled the cart out and leveled the body on three sets of jack stands...
