    That's not just a cradle. It's a family heirloom.

    Please be certain there is no possibility of overturning the boat (spilling the baby out).
    Maybe the line, at the stern, is tied to the fitting to minimize roll. I can't tell.

    Very nice, I made one very much like that for one Grandaughter 11 years ago. I then made a Viking ship cradle 6 years ago for my first Son's first boy. Carved head and all.
