    Would that be fumes building up, below?
    I have a 1972 Land Rover Series III Truck Cab/Pick-Up and a 1962 Land Rover Series 2a Carawagon Camper.

    Yes, the fuel fumes being heavier than air collect in the lowest places. The blowers must be run to remove those fumes.
