Better, Best or the VERY best! Lathe Cut Off made EASY!

Several years ago I made what I called a direct mount cut off tool holder. In most cases I never had a problem using it but with some chucks with a lot of overhang I still got chatter. Several people said I needed to build (and do a video) on a spring type holder like the old style Armstrong blade holder. Well, I finally did it and WOW! It works fantastic. I'll do a follow up video in a week or two and post some drawings. I wonder why 80 year old technology like this goes away? I'm amazed.

I was impressed with your cut-off tool. What really got my attention was the attachment you clamped onto your cut-off saw which enabled you to use your table without having to go through the normal steps and the puny table that comes with most saws.

i would love to have the plans (pay for them if necessary) to construct the clamp-on table.

That thing is fantastic. I'm useless with a parting tool. Maybe this will turn me into a passable machinist (probably not).
