Those of us who've built "stuff" for any length of time undoubtedly have a mental list of memorable feedback we've received over the years.
What's the best comment you've received for your work?

In my teens, I welded up 20, or so, broken tricycles for a local infants school (freebie), they made me a superb hand-drawn thank you card. Completely unexpected, a good feeling, never forgotten it.

The best "comment" I ever received was when folks walked up to look over my homebuilt airplane and then wanted not just a photo of the plane, but a photo of themselves with the plane. That sort of thing is usually reserved for the warbird crowd; I was just tickled every time.

My Brother-in-law was looking over my Astro Van build (home designed and built full chassis, front and rear suspensions and just about anything else I need to build a Pro-Touring style Astro van). He was pretty quiet while I was showing him some of the jigs and fixtures I had to build just to build some of the suspension parts. He looked me in the eye and said "This is some serious stuff you are doing here". "This is stuff you only see in the magazines". I had never really thought about it that way bit I guess he was right. Best compliment I have gotten on the project.
