    bath tub grow beds

What to do with old bath tubs?
Answer; turn them into grow beds in the greenhouse
old tubs are hardly worth hauling off in a load of scrap metal, unless you cut them up they will reduce the value of your load by a significant amount. So rather than turning a $200.00 per ton into a $140.00 per ton load I decided to make raised grow beds out of them

I have to remove one of these when I get to the remodel project, I expect a sledge hammer to do what's needed. I like your recycle.
So what are you planting this time of the year? Too damn cold for a greenhouse here.

My greenhouse is still getting up to over 100°f during the day if it is not cloudy. But I don't have enough thermal mass in there yet to hold the temps more than 10to 15°f above Ambiant at night. So far it has not dropped below 48°f
Right now there is nothing planted in there other than a few potted plants
Never try to tell me it can't be done

If yours is cast iron a sledge is your best bet. Wear safety glasses. They had thick enamel ( glass ) on them. If it is steel just a sawzall and a fine tooled blade. Done over 30 bathroom renos over the years. They are all fun and games. Never any surprises. (Hah)
