    Barrie

Originally a builder of horse drawn vehicles, I have built over 1500 wood spoke wheels. I left my passion in 2005 and am now re- tooling so I may be able to get back at what I really love doing. Wheelwright equipment is largely self made so this DIY site will be of great use to me.

Hi, not sure how this works, anyway, sent some pictures of a very few as most are on film as they were taken with older Kodak 35 mm. I did some for a movie called A simple wish starring Martin Shortt and Kathlene Turner and also the Gov. General. of Canada

It is not something I can give immediate photos of as you can't buy them from tool distributors or the like. Perhaps a visit to an Amish or Mennonite carriage builder etc. At best I would have to get a wheel and through a step by step breakdown of how it is constructed, then the steps required to construct it would help to design the necessary jigs and fixtures req'd to build a wood spoke wheel . I could give you the assembly stages in order of sequence and go from there. That would be later this evening as I am getting ready for work.
