    Someone posted a similar bender a while back. One key factor you will find when making your bends is they will turn better when you add a shim in the holding slot.
    Having the extra holes spaced further out like you have will be handy for when you make dies to fit in the slot for making large bend radiuses.
    This type of bender is simple to make as you have demonstrated and like you have shown any old bearing that can be made to rotate can be used

    It simply amazes me, as a toolmaker of 50 years, what some folks can accomplish with a welder and a 4" angle grinder!
