To eliminate the need to measure blade width and count the TPI, my wood bandsaw blades have tags to identify them. Key tags are attached to the blades with a loop of nylon string. The tags indicate width, TPI, minimum radius of cut for that particular blade and the length of the blade. When I install the blade on the bandsaw the tag is hung from the tracking adjustment knob. This way I can see the installed blade’s information at a glance.
