Yeah sorta negates the need to keep a boatload of old input shafts cluttering up the tool box, but I'm old school and sentimental, probably more mental than Senti.

I also have a drawer full of input shafts and alignment tools that I will probably never use again, but i will never get rid of them...

Just for the record Frank, that's a nice black thumb nail you have there, what did you whack it with?

4pound hammer glanced off what I was striking. No biggie it happens a couple times every decade or so.

The best information I've found is on youtube where multiple videos can be found for simple techniques to access and change out stuff that should have been simple.
I agree on the cost of shop manuals.
As for youtube some people offer sketchy info, I watched a fellow assemble a front beam axle for a ‘30s era Ford and he put the bearings between the top of the axle and the spindles instead of bellow the axle. Since the bearing is used to carry the weight and make it easier to steer, he must have had an interesting test drive.
I usually watch several videos on the same top then pick the best info from each.

I always enjoy Frank’s posts, simple and to the point, and no 30 minute video sometimes without a demonstration of the unit in use.
