There's a whole cottage industry in China. They take old server gear, pull the chips off the motherboards, re-ball them and install them on brand new PCBs. These "remanufactured" motherboards are all over AliExpress. They're actually pretty decent. Yesterday's high-end servers make for some pretty fast desktop computers on the cheap. Seeing what little corner shops in Shenzhen are capable of... The West is doomed. We stand no chance.
