Attchament for inserting conduit in the ground for fiber-optics cable install

A contractor brought me a badly worn insertion tool that attaches to the ripper plow on his D9L
So I made him a new one and repaired the old one
building up the old one under the hard face is a pad weld in some places 8inches wide and 1/8" thick other places 3" wide and 1" thick

Yikes, WTH that thing weigh? Sure, a D9L can handle it, but getting it there...

Hi Frank! That is one aggressive looking attachment. Could you ask for the contractor to tak a shot of your work mounted on the D9L? What an interesting piece of equipment. I have a cousin in Canada that runs a D-8 with a similar attachment on it he tells me. Thanks for sharing that.

It fits on their D8s as well but sometimes when plowing through a layer of caliche that can be as much as 3or4 feet thick in places, they will try with the 9L to avoid having to run the trencher. Trenchers are slow and expensive to run
