    It looks like the breech wasn't secured, or it failed, somehow. Most of the blast seemed to come out of the back, the path of least resistance. And there were a fair number of folks standing around near it!

    For topical application, only. Not to be taken internally or used in com-
    bination with other drugs or alcohol, except as directed by your shaman.
    Do not operate heavy equipment, unless you actually know how to.

    If we assume this artillery piece was American and sold to whatever country is in the video, then there are certain safeties which are designed to prevent it even being possible to fire it the block on the breach is not fully locked in place. But for every safety on any weapons system there are always exceptions to the rule.
    Judging by the apparent size and configuration of the gun this looks like it could be an older 155 mm it cold have been poorly maintained the block would be fatigued or about anything,
    But I agree with you much of the blast came out the wrong end
