    JoeVanGeaux, Don't let a little thing like another project get in your way of posting something you have done. or a duplicate build already posted on these forums there are an infinite number of duplicated builds to be found here but everyone of them are different in some way even if they are a copy of someone else's build. The built is still yours

    Hello JoeVanGeaux, Yes those wood pie shaped blocks are really a great way to clamp work down and fast tooo. that was one of several of my best inspirations, and Thanks for noticing...always nice to have friends,,,... :O)

    When I was a young buck and I was working in a small shop, we built a articulated drill press that had a boom that was a swinging truss , similar to a jib crane boom. We mounted a Rockwell drill press head to it and we mounted it to one of the building columns. The unit was leveled and plumed and would swing over a large work bench. It would reach to center of a 4 ft. x 8 ft. sheet of metal. Talk about handy!

    I had a similar rig mounted on the column of my Radial arm drill press it was used for chamfering the holes

    Yes when I wake up and can get vertical I know I'm still useful even if only to fill up the toilet. Hahahaha.
