Arduino gear cutter. By Mr Innovative. 7:42 video:

While I'm not really impressed with the mechanics, I'd like to see a count of hands for people that have never had an indexing error (manual or electronic) in the shop. I'm more worried about the lack of vertical translation of the cutter.
The real value here is likely the software. Build a more robust machine and kill all the bugs and you might have something more useful.
The real value here is to his pocketbook!
Most contributors on here are altruistically driven to share their idea and the solution. When HMT 1st started there was zero thought of monetary gain and many still take no compensation. You Tube changed the game with monetization and opportunists quickly appeared. If you mention “Arduino” in a title you will instantly get about 100,000 clicks around the world. Additional clicks come from the attractive nature of the subject or his subscribers. (YT hits are currently 147K)
There is nothing in the video about the Arduino and there is no software or link to his software! There is no parts list or links to any of the materials. 15% of the time is devoted to advertising the PCB manufacturer, 9% on 3d printing, and the rest on cutting a fictional, useless gear. Look up the definition of pandering.
