    I want one!
    That's so cool...or not.
    Though it does seem counterproductive if its used for cooling.
    In the winter time it would work as a heated fan.

    I believe that, during the Raj, another version was used that combined a kerosene lamp for illumination with the Stirling fan to stir the air. Given the climate in India, even a somewhat less than cool breeze was probably much appreciated.

    The idea persists today in the form of wood stove Stirling fans to circulate the heated air.
