    MichaelMoore's Tools

    Another new person

My friend Tony Foale made reference to this forum so I thought I'd come over and check it out. You can see some of my current and past motorcycle projects on this page of my website:

    http://www.eurospares.com/other.htm

I'm not a big maker of tools like Tony, as it is usually better for me to buy something and get to work instead of adding another time-sucking project to my life but now and then I'll make something I can't buy.

    cheers,
    Michael

Hi Michael - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Nice site! Looks like you'll fit in well here. I especially liked the English wheel: Euro Spares - Tools - Sheet Metal Tools

Thanks for the welcome. On this page

Euro Spares - Tools - Lathes

there are some photos of a table I made to clamp to the cross slide of my lathe. It accepts the 1/2-13 studs from the mill so theoretically I could clamp a part to the cross slide for doing line boring. Unfortunately, the X scale on the DRO I recently installed obstructs access to the back dove tail, and in any event the table could really use a vertical stage to make it easier to locate a part to the spindle axis vs trying to find enough bits of metal to shim it several inches off the table.

    cheers,
    Michael
