Had a need for a scribe that would get into tight spots.
Took a dental stimulator - these are often gold colored and with a reddish/brown rubber tip.
Removed the rubber tip and ground the nub that holds the tip - flat.
Found a spare carbide tip that came with a pen style scribe - the type with a removable threaded
holder that allows you to replace the scribe.
Used some medium CA glue to get the scribe to sit squarely on the dental stimulator.
Once it set up, I wrapped it with a single strand of some copper wire (could have done a much neater job)
and covered it in more CA glue.
It is on there like steel with no flex.
Many other ways to make it including with small washers for support, epoxy instead of the wire wrap, crimping
a ferrule on or machining a threaded receiver or even drilling out a barrel bolt set and slipping the scribe tip inside.
