    angle grinder shaft extension

I'm sure someone has made one of these, but I can't recall ever seeing one if so, I'm sure none were ever used this way
I needed to clean the inside of a formed beam but no grinder would fit except for little rt angle pneumatic die grinders but those things take forever to do much.
So I made a 3inch long extension to fit the 5/8-11 thread on angle grinders out of a length of 1" round bar.

The major added benefit is the ability to install the cup brush upside down enabling me to clean the underside of the formed flange
This was very important to me since there is a cam follower bearing that rolls on this surface

I have seen these up for sale in facebook ads - and one of the uses in the ads was reaching down inside pipe to use a cutoff disc to cut the pipe from the inside (viz PVC pipe set in concrete) -

Bought a few from CHina in the early summer. Same use idea as you Frank, $16 Not even worth going a driving to get the steel.

    But the idea is there.

I was planning to make one of these, and had just bought a coupling nut for the project a few days ago. I like this one more.

I hear you, on the other side of that coin though, I had mine made in the time it would have taken for me to look for one online to order and I had it today not days from now

Hard to argue with that. And yes I waited a month. If you need it now, Your way is the best way.
