    Nice idea but I don't like that you would be constrained to a patented pattern of disk center. I am a big fan of open source and interchangeability.

    I have two grinders and one has a cutting disc and the other a grinding disc.

    Same for the little ones. I need more - NEVER lend tools! Ideally you have a grinder each mounted with one of a cutting disk, a grinding disk, a flap disk a wire cup brush and a wire wheel brush.
    That is just 100 or 125 mm's size. I have an old 180 mm's Rupes grinder that I love but 180 disks are getting hard to come by and by the time I wear down a 230 mm's disk it ends up on a 125 mm's grinder and a couple of el-cheapo swivel head 230 mm's one with a cutting disk and one with a grinding disk.
