    Angle grinder power file attachment

Hi this is my version of angle grinder power file.

    Preview for the final product:

    Video shows the making:

Here's some pictures from the slots that locks it on position:

Can be locked to two different angles.

Wheel is from the skateboard, same that i use with my pipe sander.
    Belt is 30mm x 633mm

Bearings are mounted to arm with two M5 rivet nuts. Nice and clean mounting, and allows to change bearings easily if necessary.
( i have seen people locking them with welds )

Here's a preview to the whole mobile sander consept:

Great job Tuomas. I see you are making good use out of your homemade press break attachment for your shop press.

Thanks Frank. Bending tools really makes metal working much easier and faster.

No need to weld so much. No need to worry about disortion.

Making stuff with diy tools really makes whole process more enjoyable.

    Continued..

Old latch. It was spring loaded, couldn't be opened manually.

New latch.. also spring loaded, but..

Now it can be opened by pressing with finger. This allows to making grooves that locks the sander on its position, deeper.
    That gives stronger hold.

Still, new latch doesn't be on the way when using grinder for cutting or sanding with discs.

Old latch didn't allow to move guard counter clockwise, now it can be moved to both directions.

    Nice work!!

Great use of that press! When i find the time im working on a very similar press. Largely for the same reasons you highlight which is that it is better than welding for fabtications.

As for the grinder attachments these are great examples of ingenuity. I need to see if the idea can be adapted to the grinders i have.

In any event keep up the great work on the videos and postings!

    Thanks.

As usual.. i noticed that issue after a while in use.
It was somewhat tight to unlock when it was in "straight" position.
So i decided to make it softer to use.

Now i could easily to add more optional angles to it.

Needs only to carve new holder groove to desired position.
But i think those two are enough.
