    To reinvent the spindle nut spanner due to a lack of dexterity, is a trifle mind-boggling.
    The nut need never be more than hand tight.

    I totally agree. I only ever tighten the nuts with fingers, as soon as you start using the tool the nut will tighten as much as required, if not more. Over tightening the nut is a sure way to have the thin blades break.

    Absolutely, I agree. However... tradespeople. There's the first group who are probably too green to know any better and overtighten them, but they're acting in good faith. It's just a lack of experience. Then there's the second group. The d-bags who DO know better but spend all day showing everyone how strong and tough they are. They'll go out of their way to put that nut on so tight it'll never come off, just so they can watch you struggle. Because to caveman, if you struggle you are weak, and that makes them strong.
