There are two LARC's that had been used by pier builders here that are on the bottom of the lake in over 1000 feet of water...

I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada, and we have these "Harbour Hopper" things that drive all over Halifax during the summer. You pay for a tour and they drive you all around the city, then splash into the water and drive around the ocean for a while. They're kinda neat. I'd never get on one. I know the guy who repairs them.

These WWII era DUKW's operated in Branson, Missouri too, until July 2018 and 17 drowned after vessel capsized. The attraction has reopened under new management.
