In this video I almost finish the restoration and improvements on the wood lathe. I build a spindle lock/indexing mechanism and install all of the electrics. It was all painted and at the stage of just needing the new spindle, then disaster struck. As I was assembling the lathe and testing it out for the end of this video, the motor shaft snapped in half during the testing. I will need to source another motor for this lathe.
