Allen explains how it all started: how he became a self-taught motor cycle engine redesigner/ rebuilder.
Reveals his design considerations on bike frames around his one-off DIY engines, carburetors and transmissions,
and why he prefers to "make do" with his small, rudimentary workshop and few hand tools.
Engine builds from the World's smallest V-twin via the biggest 5 L V-twin (2 cylinders from a C-47 Pratt & Whitney) to his Dodge Viper 8 L V10.
Shows us some of his different DIY bike builds, how he keeps his motivation up and why none of his projects have failed or have been given up.
Sensitive Person's Caution: A 50 minute household chat (with appropriate sound quality) in British English...
He also designed and built a brilliant adaptive downhill bike suspension, and the bikes to go with them. An interviewer asked whether he has plans to patent and license the tech, and his reply was no, and that anyone is welcome to put it into mass production without paying him because he based his design off an existing design, so while his is improved, it's not entirely his.
