    Aircraft carrier shock test - GIF

    USS Gerald R. Ford being subjected to a shock test using a 40,000-pound explosive. Shock tests are conducted to validate a warship's ability to withstand harsh battlefield conditions.

    Likely, no crew aboard, perhaps a handful of observers. The test, conducted on starboard side, same as where gangplanks for crew boarding. Wonder if they'll notice it's really clean, or plastered with fish guts?
