    Air compressor

    Need to know how to wire a 5 hp Sears motor. It has 6 wires coming out of motor.2 wires for the centrifugal switch and 4 off stator. This motor has a reset switch , 2 start capacitors and to run capacitors. Please help. I need my compressor badly. Thanks Barry Barrett

    Immediately, I can't determine a solution to your wiring dilemma. But first we'll need to need to know what electrical supply is available. Voltage. Amperage. Hertz. Clear pictures of the motor tag. There likely is a wiring schematic with it. Clear pictures of the components.

    Are there any numbers on the wires like T1 T2 T3 T4 T5 T8 are the caps already wired in or is everything just a jumble of loose connections.
    Some of the 5hp single ph motors are duel voltage and some are only 120v
    If the caps and cintrifugal start sw are already connected and you have 6 wires as you say which voltage are you trying to wire it for?
    Like TM51 said pictures of the wires components and the data plate are essential.
