I walked through the Concorde at the Boeing Museum in Seattle and was astonished at the cramped conditions that were endured at the exorbitant ticket prices in its day. The airframe was a thing of beauty to approach, but once inside, I was wondering about populating one with today's avionics, electricals, hydraulics, and low weight materials. Operating a modern, two-man cockpit would save thousands of pounds of weight. Sadly, it's often cheaper to build from scratch than to "resto-rod" an aircraft whose day has come and gone.
