    Adjustable table feet

These are for the lathe table I'm building. 1" threaded rod, nuts and washers; 1/4" plate and C-channel.

The C-channel acts as a guide for the bolt.

There'll be rubber pads on the bottoms of the feet.

Those are some substantial feet with that c-channel support! Curious what kind of weight you think they will be supporting and if the threads will hold up during adjustment? Thanks for keeping us abreast with your build.

It's for my 1926 South Bend 9" Junior with 36" bed and its motor, pulleys, and all of the tooling, backsplash, etc. I'm not sure of the total yet, but I think it'll be around 400 pounds, including the table itself, which is at about 70 pounds so far. They may be a little oversized for the expected load, but 3/4" just looked small under the 2" square legs.

Thanks Sossol! It Definitely will support that fine old piece of Iron and then some and totally get the small look on 2" square. Look forward to seeing it on the new stand!! Thanks again for sharing the build.

I'll post a new thread for the table once it's finished. The only thing left to do on these feet other than paint is to drill & tap the lower nut for a chain between the feet and legs. I'll add that to this thread. Hopefully this weekend. These feet won't be permanently attached the legs because I want to keep the option of making different feet for it (casters, fixed-length, whatever).

Adjustable feet help to prevent tipping, noise and vibration.
