When I made the heavy duty shelf brackets for my rotary phase converters I made extras figuring one day on adding a shelf above the work bench my table mill is mounted on
My friend who hauls so many things in for me is always dropping off materials of some kind figuring I will make use of them
A while back he dropped off a dozen 15" by 48" pieces of 1/2" OSB. I thought those will make some nice light duty shelves some day
so I laminated 4 pieces to make a 15" x 8 ft. shelf 1" thick used 4 of the extra brackets in the E track of my machineshop van
sandwiching the boards between a 4" thick slab of steel and a little over 300 lbs of steel on top does almost as good as 2 dozen clamps
Looks like a lot of extra shelf space BUT!
I have a lot of debris and real stuff that needs to go somewhere
Its a start however I already see I need to make some special storage for the mill clamps and t nuts
