The supplied grinding rests are not really that good on these grinders so I made some new ones.
The left table uses the mounting pieces from the original rest. However you will notice that I
added an ingot of lead for dampening vibration. Should have made the tables from cast iron
but I did not have any and I had plenty of aluminum.
The right hand rest is fully articulating and used for grinding lathe tools (carbide of course since that is where I put the "green"wheel.
In addition to what is shown I made a couple of steel bushings with integeral flange to reduce vibration.
The original washers just did not do the trick.
