    507 mechanical movements

    Hi

I came across this old book about mechanical movements online. It shows the actual book published in 1908. Full of weird and wonderful gears and levers etc. bound to be a eye opener for all you contraption makers out there.

Thanks Steved53 for sharing this! Great book and glad it's preserved. Also found it interesting the original copyright was 1868, renewed in 1896 and finally published in 1908. A lot of ground was covered in those 40 years. I've seen more modern books like this and now Autodesk and Solid Works are putting some of this stuff in libraries available in the packages. With cheap storage, quality search features, and parametric design it keeps people from reinventing the wheel so to speak, plus it's additive for new or modified designs. Innovative minds that developed those back then. I particularly like the "Design Patent" lawyer ad section at the end. Bookmarked it!
