I've heard Everclear works very well, but I haven't tried it. Isopropyl alcohol works too, and a common spray bottle head mates with the threads of an iso alcohol bottle. Acetone is very effective, but you're not exactly supposed to slather it on your skin. Plunger cans are nice for dispensing, but they're not airtight enough for acetone. All are flammable, so you have to be mindful if you're using a torch to clarify epoxy.
A squirt of hand sanitizer on a crumpled paper towel works nicely to start a fire in a fireplace or woodstove.
