    A note on using plastic hose on the output of air compressors, the outflowing air may get hot enough to weaken the house.

    Also, while you didn't do it, some people use soldered fittings. I was walking past an air compressor at a company that some ID0T soldered the output pipe on...the solder failed from vibration as I was passing it and a 2" diameter pipe blew off. That is NOT nice when you're having a peaceful walk.
