    3D Printed Surface Adapter

The back surface on my Roland FP-10 electronic keyboard is crowned and smooth. Put my timer here and it slides off as I play. My solution was to 3D print a 3-inch by 2-inch platform which is congruent with this crowned surface on the bottom and flat on the top. I faced the flat surface with soft foam to provide additional grip.

Figuring out this curved surface was a challenge. I measured and guessed. By printing out 0.1" wide sections of this contour, I was able to get a sample in 6 minutes. The full 3 inch wide platform took about 2 hours.
