Will this work in the US with our standard 220v as well? And is the motor running at or near the power that it would be with a 3 phase supply? And I'm guessing that the motor has to be capable of running off 220v, and not a 3 phase motor that's rated for only 380v or 460v. And is there a way to control the speed besides different size pulleys, or would u only be able to do that running it with a vfd?

No. U.S. Voltage would make the motor run in reverse.

This is a video shot in Europe. The electric motor is from an Italian machine. There is no way to control the speed, only with washers. The power is not like 380 volts, when we use 220 volts on such an electric motor it works with a capacity of 70%

Electric motors are the only ones, the only thing that is in Europe at 50 Hz and in the US at 60 Hz, that's the only difference.
