No matter what it looks like outside, deep down, you're still driving a (classic) VW Beetle!

When it comes to the Beetle you either love them or you hate them, there really is not much in between room. I'm one of those guys who does fit in the in between. I've owned my share of them and the micro buses. Some were great some not so much some were just beyond belief how bad they had become through age. I've turned many of them into other things. In the 1960s the fun thing to do with them was to shorten them 8 inches and add a fiberglass dune buggy body to them. in the 70S we turned them into dirt track racers in the 80s &b 90s I made trikes out of them. In the early 2000s while in Kuwait I restored a couple to better than factory new for a Shiek. Money being no object to him I think about the only thing left of either of them that was original were the VIN numbers

You and everyone else who ever owned a buggy, an original Manx on about any 64 to 67 chassis with the 80" wheelbase should be worth a small fortune

I had the opportunity to buy one about 10 years ago for $4500. I didn't know the price of goofy old cars would go up more than Microsoft stock. Ooops.
...although I do have a few old cars that have skyrocketed in value. But I don't have a Meyers Manx.

All the more reason why I won't let my 83 Subaru brat go unless some serious coin is offered.
